Marianna was drawn to the art of photography at a young age. In the sixth grade she completed her first creative photography and writing project for a Communication Arts class. At the age of thirteen, she began exploring film photography and developing photographs in a darkroom at a summer camp. She continued her photography studies as an art major at Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and the Performing Arts, where she was recognized as a gifted photographer and sold her first print, "Above the Building Blocks". After graduating high school she was hired as an Associate Photographer by a boutique wedding photography studio in New York City, where she had the opportunity to photograph numerous wedding celebrations and learn diverse digital imaging techniques for six years.

Marianna attended image-making classes at the Fashion Institute of Technology, the School of Visual Arts, and the International Center of Photography in New York City. She has worked with musicians, actors, models, designers, authors, dancers, and stylists and has photographed a myriad of cultures and subject matters. Her work has been published by Boston University, the New York Times, Manhattan Bride, and American Photo.

In 2012, Marianna was propelled to devote herself to the studies of Holistic Medicine and Self-Realization at the American Association of Cultural and Universal Studies, where she completed a life-changing course titled, "Essential Living DESOTO Method" and was certified as a Reiki Master.

She currently resides in New York with her husband and family.
